In South Korea and the firm behind Kangwon Land Casino has reportedly announced that the venue has been given official permission to extend its opening hours and offer a further 20 gaming tables once it fully revives the mass-market section of its casino floor.

According to a report from Inside Asian Gaming, Seoul-listed Kangwon Land Incorporated used an official filing to detail that the facility in rural Gangwon Province will soon be allowed to operate its casino for up to 20 hours every day featuring an expanded complement of as many as 180 gaming tables.

Coronavirus consequences:

Inside Asian Gaming reported that Kangwon Land Casino is the only casino in South Korea that permits locals to gamble alongside foreign tourists. Located approximately 93 miles from Seoul, the venue was purportedly forced to shut its doors from February 23 as the nation struggled to get to grips with the coronavirus pandemic.
